Interior painting is estimated on an individual room basis of walls, ceilings, trims, doors, closets and other surfaces that require painting. The number of coats per surface is indicated on the estimate as well as estimated production dates. The preparation work included in the service includes: covering furniture & floors, removing & reinstalling wall plates, patching walls, filling nail holes, sanding, vacuuming, spot priming, spot caulking, touching up & cleaning up.
Behr Marquee eggshell is my 1 coat wall application providing richness of color and incredible coverage at a lower labor cost. Dulux Lifemaster eggshell ($50 / gallon) is my choice for 2 coat wall application providing exceptional quality with low VOC. Ultra High Hide 7700 ($35 / gallon) is my ceiling paint of choice for 1 coat coverage. Dulux Lifemaster semigloss ($55 / gallon) is my trim & doors 1 coat paint. A $20- $30 miscellaneous material / fuel cost will also be charged daily.
Exterior walls, windows, garage doors, front doors, trims, decks, fences, eaves troughs, soffits, verandas, and more are estimated individually. Coat number is indicated on estimates and production is scheduled between early May - early November. The preparation work included in the service includes scraping loose paint, sanding, vacuuming, spot priming, spot caulking and covering floors. The preparation may include: TSP washing, pressure washing, power sanding, patching and masking.
Dulux Weatherguard comes is my choice for durable application on most exterior surfaces. Dulux Weatherguard Maximum ($55 / gallon) is a slightly thicker product than Weatherguard that provides even better coverage when necessary. Dulux solid acrylic stain ($50 / gallon) gives wood a durable "composite" look. A $20- $30 miscellaneous material / fuel cost will be charged daily.
New construction painting starts at $2.50 / sq. ft. This includes a full coat of Gidden Pro Primer (white or off-white) and a top coat of Dulux Super Matt. (white or off-white) Preparation work includes: covering floors, nail filling, prime check and spot priming between coats, sanding between coats, vacuuming dust on surfaces, caulking and touch-ups. Additional costs will be added for superior materials, added sheens, additional colors, crown molding, decorative trim and patching holes.
